KLCII was honoured to have Professor Meng Ying-Ru from Taiwan’s National Tsing Hua University conduct two sessions on “Multi-faceted Classroom Management”  and “Positive Behavioural Interventions and Support” (PBIS) for teachers and staff from Crestar Education Group (CEG).

Dr Meng is a specialist with extensive experience in managing children with learning disabilities, and emotional and behavioural disorders. She has authored and co-authored hundreds of books in related areas. She holds a master’s degree in Educational Counselling and a Ph.D. in Special Education from the University of Pittsburgh in the US.

The sessions, held in the month of October 2023, were attended by nearly 200 staff members from CEG’s various education brands, including Skool4Kidz, Kinderland, NurtureStars and ELFA.

The Classroom Management masterclass focused on prepping CEG management, curriculum teams, cluster heads, and principals to handle issues and challenges at their centres and discussing solutions together. The session also touched upon the emotional challenges of working in the early childhood sector.

The sessions, held in the month of October 2023, were attended by nearly 200 staff members from CEG’s various education brands, including Skool4Kidz, Kinderland, NurtureStars and ELFA.

During the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) masterclass, Dr Meng spoke about the theories and principles underpinning Behaviour Analysis and Positive Behavioural Interventions and Support (PBIS). In addition, Dr Meng also provided examples on how to implement practical classroom management strategies to reduce challenging behaviours and foster positive behaviours.
