The early childhood (EC) sector continues to attract those looking for a career switch. This was evident at the first Open Day at KLC International Institute’s (KLCII) revamped campus in Ang Mo Kio.
Visitors attending the event on 26 October 2023 were mostly to explore a career in educating young children. Most of them were keen to switch jobs. There were also first timers attracted to the profession of an EC educator.
They had the opportunity to take in the freshly-minted campus’s interiors which have been designed with collaborative spaces for post-classroom discussions and projects.
Everyone was invited to get a feel of various experiential corners consisting of play and learning materials for children from 2 months to 6 years old.

KLCII’s team were also on hand to provide information on the WSQ Early Childhood training programmes available. Besides the self-funded courses, KLCII also provides schemes such as the Career Conversion Programme (CCP) targeted for mid-career switchers looking to switch to the Early Childhood sector.

The Ang Mo Kio campus is KLCII’s main campus, in addition to two others at Yio Chu Kang and Jurong East. It was re-opened in October 2023 after several months of renovation works. It has over 200sq metres of collaborative learning spaces to provide for peer learning.
