KLCII’s success in recruiting students from Malaysia to be trained here to join the early childhood sector in Singapore has encouraged another preschool operator to collaborate in the effort.
The latest preschool brand to work with KLCII is E-Bridge Pre-school, which welcomed 21 students from Johor at its Telok Blangah Centre on 16 March 2019 for familiarisation and follow-up interviews.
KLCII had earlier pre-selected the students studying for the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) and the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) at various high schools in the Southern Malaysian state.
During their visit to E-Bridge, the students received pre-training course counselling and underwent another round of interviews for selection to qualify for the Place-and -Train programme to teach pre-schoolers in Singapore.
Successful candidates would sign an agreement with E-Bridge to work for them after their completion of the 1,200 hours WSQ Professional Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education.
E-Bridge decided to work with KLCII after learning about the Malaysian recruitment effort at a corporate networking session for preschool operators hosted by the Institute in November last year.
