On 21 February 2025, WSG x JobStreet Early Childhood Industry Night, themed From Passion to Profession: Navigating Career Opportunities in Early Childhood Education, provided a platform for industry leaders to inspire and guide aspiring educators. Among the panelists was Ms. Lorna Poon, Sales Manager (Corporate Accounts) at KLCII, who shared her expertise and insights alongside Ms. Angeline Goh, Senior Centre Leader at E-Bridge PreSchool.

Lorna spoke about her role at KLCII, where she engages with individuals passionate about early childhood education and guides them in enrolling in KLCII’s programmes. She highlighted the rewarding opportunities in the sector, emphasising how the industry is evolving to meet the needs of families and children. Lorna also stressed the importance of passion in early childhood education, noting that it is the driving force behind creating meaningful and impactful learning experiences for young children.

Following the panel discussion, Lorna introduced the Career Conversion Programme (CCP), a WSG initiative designed to help unemployed individuals, career switchers, and homemakers transition into the early childhood sector. She explained the eligibility criteria, including language proficiency and academic requirements, and encouraged attendees to explore this pathway to become Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) certified educators.
