This course is to train teachers on the basic theory of Chinese teaching, teaching methods and Chinese Language development under the guidance of Singapore’s teaching Chinese characteristics as a second language.
This course grooms Chinese Teachers with the potentials in higher Chinese Language and help to achieve a better understanding in Chinese Language basics and culture.

This course consist of:
- Classroom Hours: 460 Hours
- 10 months (Full-time)
- 15 months (Part-time)
- Lecture, Group discussion, small group activities, workshops, role plays, presentations, demonstrations & practicum
Award of Certificate
Upon successful completion of coursework and examination, and a minimum of 80% attendance, students will be awarded the Specialist Diploma in Chinese Language Teaching (Mandarin) by KLC International Institute.
At least a Grade C6 in and 5 GCE “O”Level subjects, or Nitec, Higher Nitec, or 10 years of formal education and Age 16 and above.
Applicant must possess ONE of the following Language entry requirements:
At Least a Grade C6 in Chinese at GCE “O” Level, or A Pass in Chinese Language in Year 10 High School Qualification, or HSK 6, or Chinese Placement Test conducted by KLCII
