KLCII and Employment and Employability Institute (e2i) jointly present multi-brand Career Fair at the newly renovated campus at Ang Mo Kio

KLC International Institute (KLCII) recently organised a Career Fair for four preschool brands from the Crestar Education Group to offer employment and training opportunities in the early childhood (EC) sector.

The event for Kinderland Academy & Preschool, Elfa Preschool, NurtureStars Preschool and Skool4Kidz was held on 26 April 2024 in partnership with Employment & Employability Institute (e2i) and Workforce Singapore. The theme was “Embark on a Career that Shapes Young Minds”.

Held at KLCII’s latest Campus in Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6, the fair attracted some 70 visitors who were interested in careers as Infant/Early Year Educarers and Preschool Educators. They comprised a mix of new job seekers and mid-career professionals.

The visitors were attended to by KLCII career consultants, who briefed them on the vacancies available and the prerequisite qualifications and training requirements for the childcare/preschool career.

They also had the opportunity to be interviewed by one or more of the brands to determine their job fit for the openings. Together, the four brands have a combined total of some 60 centres.

KLCII also highlighted the range of training courses available to the prospective educators, from basic certificate, through diploma to degree/master levels. Much interest was drawn to the place-and-train programme, which provides professional conversion programmes and salary support to help mid-career switchers reskill to take on their new roles in the EC sector.

Starting from 1 May 2024, the SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career) top-up of $4,000 which does not expire, can be used to further pay for nett course fees for KLCII’s WSQ Early Childhood full qualification courses.

In addition, all Singapore Citizens aged 40 and above can also enjoy up to 90% funding from SkillsFuture Singapore for WSQ Early Childhood full qualification courses.
