Thirty-eight Chinese preschool teachers from the PAP Community Foundation (PCF) attended a workshop on Continuing Professional Development (CPD) conducted by KLCII at its Serangoon Campus on 12 March 2018.

The Chinese workshop entitled “Inspiring Creativity and Learning in a Preschool Setting.” was specially designed and marketed to PCF for their teachers. It helped to enhance the teachers’ capability in the area of creativity in learning.

The day-long session, was facilitated by one of KLCII’s associate lecturers Ms Zhang Jingwen, who has a Master of Education from the National University of Taiwan.

PCF teachers are doing activities in the workshop on Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

The CPD Masterplan for the early childhood sector was announced at the Early Childhood Development Agency’s (ECDA) inaugural Early Childhood Conference in November 2013, and it is a key component of the government’s manpower strategies to attract, develop, retain and raise the quality and professional experience of EC educators.

ECDA has strongly recommended that all EC educators complete at least 20 hours of CPD per year.

KLCII currently offers a suite of English and Chinese CPD courses, including the WSQ Adopt the Early Years Development Framework in both English and Chinese.
