KLCII brings in renowned BNU professor for a customised CPD workshop for Skool4Kidz’ Chinese Teachers

Some 20 Chinese Preschool teachers from Skool4Kidz attended a Continuing Professional Development Chinese workshop on “Music and Creativity for Young Children” organised by KLCII.

Music is a research-proven method for teaching language, as it stimulates interest and engages children to learn in a fun way and retain what is being taught.  It’s effective in helping teachers to teach language concepts, structure, proper pronunciation, pacing and rhyme.

This customised session was conducted by internationally-renowned Professor Wang Yiying from Beijing Normal University’s Faculty of Education– Institute of Early Childhood Education. The special arrangement made by KLCII gave the teachers an international perspective in using music to teach Mandarin. KLCII has partnered with Beijing Normal University for more than 20 years.

The 3 hour workshop was conducted at the Skool4Kidz Yishun Large Centre premise.
