PROGRAMME

Grounded in real classroom contexts, the workshop brings together professional knowledge, group discussions and hands-on curriculum design.

Overview

Built on the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) 3.0 framework, this workshop explores its close relationship with executive functions (EF) in children. Integrating occupational therapy perspectives, participants will explore practical strategies for strengthening executive functions and examine case studies involving children who require additional support. The workshop helps educators translate theoretical concepts into practical teaching approaches that can be applied in the classroom.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

Understand the key principles of UDL 3.0 and how executive functions can be integrated into curriculum design; gain an occupational therapy perspective on the development of children's executive functions and identify difficulties experienced by children who require additional support; apply UDL principles to design learning activities that strengthen executive functions; and propose one practical change to bring back to the classroom, with opportunities to exchange feedback with peers.
