Careful observation is central to gaining insight into the various facets of young children’s development. It provides detailed information about a child’s behavior, interests and competencies. Through careful observations, we are able to meet, respond and support the needs of the children appropriately.
This training session will equip the participants with the basic knowledge on the importance and skills in observing young children. It will also provide them with opportunities to practice their observations skills and make comparisons about their findings, as well as developing a simple individual programme. Participants are encouraged to develop reflective skills through this workshop on observation and planning for infants and toddlers.
