Helping to sort rations for the needy

A group of KLCII students gave one hour of their free time to help out at Shan You Wellness Community in Eunos Crescent, organising donated food items into ration packs for distribution to needy individuals and families with financial difficulties in various areas. The Student Services Unit hopes to make this a regular community service programme for KLCII students to contribute to society.

CNY Gathering for International Students

February 2018

A simple yet joyous Chinese New Year (CNY) gathering has been organised by each Campus for international students. The event aims to introduce Singapore Chinese New Year celebrations to the students. In addition, it is an opportunity for the students to mingle with each other, understand more about local culture and adapt to new environment smoothly.

KLCII has taken part in the Career Fair organised by Mendaki Sense. As part of the activities, our lovely and dedicated trainee teachers had set up a creativity corner to have interaction with the participants. They have fully shown patience and professionalism in guiding the participants especially the young kids to explore their creativity with paper craft.

Earth Hour

24 March 2018

KLCII participated in Earth Hour to show support in making a little difference to climate change. Our campuses turned off non-essential lights from 8:30PM-9:30PM. Lights off to let nature shine.

KLCII Open House

A total of 19 student volunteers have taken part in our KLCII Open House for Early Childhood Care and Education courses. They are helping in welcoming the guest and sharing with public their learning experience at KLCII. At the same time, they have shown their enthusiasm and professionalism through the demos such as baby bathing, art & craft, etc.

KLCII Graduation Ceremony 2018

A total of 10 amazing student volunteers from current intakes helping in welcoming and ushering graduands & guests during our KLCII’s annual Graduation Ceremony. They played an important part and contributed to the success of this event and they gained valuable experiences by taking time and volunteering for this event.

The Southern Ridges Walk

15 September 2018

Student Services Unit organized a hiking to the Southern Ridges in order to encourage and promote healthy lifestyle among the students. A total number of 28 students have taken part to enjoy the serenity and beauty of the green open spaces meanwhile having a close interaction with each other throughout the activity.

Community Service Participation

23 November 2018

Student Services Unit has successfully organised the community service at Sheng Hong Hougang Student Care Centre to share and guide the children to do creative craftwork using recycled materials. A total number of 19 student volunteers have taken part in this meaningful event and created joyous memories with the children. The children have also enjoyed doing the beautiful craftwork during the activity.
