As part of its effort to reach out to establish collaboration with more academic partners overseas, KLCII on11 August 2017 hosted a group of visitors from the National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) with the view to forge a long-term working relationship.

A KLCII team comprising  Dr Chen Shi, Vice Principal, Chinese Programmes; Mr James Ling, Head of Chinese Language Learning; and Mr Desmond Seah, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, met with the five-member NTNU delegation led by Dr. Tseng Chin-Chin, Professor, Department of Chinese as a Second Language, to explore possible collaborations.

During the discussion the KLCII team expressed interest in having a faculty exchange programme with NTNU, which is ranked 22nd globally in education, and the possibility of inviting members of the NTNU faculty to conduct short Chinese language courses in Singapore.  KLCII also offered to link the university’s EC graduates with local childcare centres and kindergartens to find employment in Singapore.

The KLCII team gave the NTNU visitors a tour of the KLCII Serangoon Campus, the NurtureStars Toa Payoh centre and  Skool4kidz’s Yishun Large Learning Centre.
