KLCII provided onsite advice to visitors on training courses at the Career Fair for Early Childhood and Education held at Our Tampines Hub (Central Plaza) on 27 July 2022. It was a continuing community outreach effort to help mid-career switchers learn more about the preschool sector and the training and funding available to them.
The event was organised by the Early Childhood Developments Agency (ECDA) and the Employment and Employability Institute (e2i), and supported by People’s Association and North East Community Development Council.
In addition to having three course consultants to provide advice, KLCII was also represented in the two panel discussion sessions to give participants more insights on careers in the preschool sector. Representing KLCII on the panel was Ms Lorna Pooh, Corporate Sales Manager.
Ten preschools also participated in the Fair to recruit teachers and staff. They were Agape Little Uni, Babilou Family Singapore, Busy Bees, E-Bridge Preschool, M.Y. World Preschool, NTUC First Campus, PCF Sparkletots, Skool4Kidz Preschool, Star Learners Child Care and Sunflower Childcare Group.
KLCII’s participation yielded enquiries on its courses, especially the career conversion programme, career paths, and the SkillsFuture funding available to them.
