There is continued shortage of teachers for the early childhood (EC) sector, and KLCII has been reaching out to create greater awareness of the career and growth opportunities for both teachers and careers.
On 24 February 2017, KLCII participated in the Career Fair for Early Childhood Care & Education organised by Workforce Singapore at the Lifelong Learning Institute. Some 13 childcare employers were there to offer a wide range of childcare positions from Infant Care Teachers, Preschool teachers to Principals. KLCII was there to provide the guidance for those seeking training to enter the sector.
There were career talks on opportunities and development pathways in the Early Childhood Care & Education Industry. Visitors to the fair also had the opportunity to learn about WSG’s Adapt and Grow initiatives such as the Professional Conversion Programme and Reskilling for Jobs – Work Trial.
