Getting Singapore’s healthcare workforce future ready is pivotal to the transformation of the healthcare system. The manpower demand for the healthcare and social services sector is set to rise as Singapore’s ageing population increases. There is an increased demand for healthcare workers who are deployed to work in
community hospitals, day care centres, nursing homes or homecare services support patients undergoing rehabilitation services such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy in recovering their functional abilities. They may also be required to assist the therapist on the implementation of the rehabilitation activities especially for patients residing at home.

This course equips individuals with the knowledge of therapy needs of elderly, as well as skills to use a holistic caregiving model to provide centre-based in therapy services to the elderly.
