Call for Proposals
We invite submissions on the following sub-themes:
Sub-theme 1: Inclusive practices and children’s wellness:
Children feels valued through being validated, affirmed, understood and enabled. This sub-theme aims to facilitate the discussion and sharing of good inclusive practices that promotes child engagement, executive function and social emotional development. The sub-theme hopes to go deeper to enhance support for children’s mental wellness, self-regulation and cognitive growth to empower all children to thrive.
Sub-theme 2: Teacher well-being and efficacy:
Happy and effective teachers are essential for nurturing thriving children. This sub-theme discusses strategies to support the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of educators, recognising its direct impact on their effectiveness in caring and teaching for children, and children’s learning outcomes. A teacher’s sense of agency and efficacy in the classroom also affects their well-being. Prioritising educators’ wellness and professional development can empower teachers to create enriching learning experiences and drive better outcomes for young children and themselves.
Sub-theme 3: Positive parent-teacher-child relationships:
While we all know that it takes a village to raise a child, it is not easy to always build trusting relationships between teachers and parents. While successful efforts exists, it is not sufficiently pervasively shared. This sub-theme invites both educators and parent participants to share successes and ideas with respectful discussions on how to build productive and collaborative relationships between two significant groups of adults in every child’s life.
Sub-theme 4: Ecosystem redesign:
Systems drive behaviour. This sub-theme examines the design of better systems to support teacher agency and leadership in adapting and adjusting the curriculum to meet the needs of the children under their care. Sharing of good policy-making at the systems or schools level can be very helpful for administrators to consider how to design more schools for success.
